On the southeast corner of Lexington Avenue and 57th Street stands LX57, originally built in 1931. In 2019, the building was acquired by East End Capital, ABS Partners Real Estate, and AEW Capital Management. In 2021, led by the architects at Gensler, the 20-story office tower received a $50 million renovation, including a full restoration of the façade.
Royal was entrusted with upgrading the building envelope to the latest standards, playing a critical role in giving this Art Deco icon a new life. We rebuilt and repaired the parapets, corners, lintels, sills, bricks, and decorative stones, and we painted and applied protective coatings throughout the building.
